Selvática

Selvática was a multimedia project grounded in the understanding that, within an androcentric society, the feminine — much like the monstrous — occupies the position of deviation and threat to the norm.

Through GIFs, illustrations, and objects, the project questions historical representations that associate the feminine with danger and disorder, proposing instead a reading that displaces these narratives of fear and control. In this way, I explore the monstrous feminine as potency, transformation, and the possibility of reimagining the feminine.
